Ethics
Trust depends on responsible conduct — toward clients, teams and partners.
Ethics is not a statement posted once a year. In a service business it plays out in ordinary moments: entering an occupied building, handling chemicals, passing a visitor in a corridor, honouring a commitment made when a contract started. That is where a cleaning and technical services company earns its reputation — or loses it.
GSF Canada therefore expects its teams, its managers and its partners to conduct themselves in a way that is consistent with applicable Quebec and Canadian law, with the agreements we sign, and with the respect owed to everyone present on the sites we serve.
We hold our communications to the same standard. Proof shown for Canada belongs to GSF Canada; Groupe GSF recognitions are named as such. We would rather publish a restrained page than a promise we cannot document.
Groupe GSF also publishes its own ethics framework. It guides Group culture and can be read alongside this page, without replacing GSF Canada’s obligations under Canadian law.
Integrity in business relationships
We commit to what we can deliver. Scope, frequencies and responsibilities are written down before a contract starts, and gaps are discussed rather than worked around. No practice aimed at winning or keeping a contract through an improper advantage has any place at GSF Canada.
- Written commitments, reviewed with the client before start-up.
- Invoicing consistent with the agreed scope.
- No tolerance for facilitation payments or gifts intended to influence a decision.
- Conflicts of interest disclosed to the responsible manager.
Respect for people
Our teams work in occupied buildings: offices, healthcare facilities, industrial sites, stores. Respect for people — colleagues, client staff, visitors — is part of the job. Harassment, intimidation and discriminatory remarks are incompatible with employment at GSF Canada, and a concern raised with a manager has to be taken seriously.
Accountability in the field
In our trade, accountability means naming a shortfall and fixing it. A room missed, a product misused, a site instruction not followed: these things happen. What sets a reliable organization apart is how quickly it identifies them, documents them, and adjusts the routine so they are not repeated.
Confidentiality and protection of information
Our teams move through spaces that contain documents, screens and sensitive equipment. The rule is simple: do not read, do not photograph, do not share. Site-specific discretion requirements are added to that baseline when the agreement calls for them. How GSF Canada handles personal information is described in our privacy policy.
Responsible business practices
We aim for durable relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors: clear expectations, payment terms honoured, and selection that weighs compliance and working conditions rather than price alone. When a third party works under our coordination, we remain accountable for the consistency of the service delivered.
Communication and proof
We consistently separate what belongs to GSF Canada from what belongs to Groupe GSF. Canadian certifications are published with their scope and dates; Group recognitions carry the “Groupe GSF” label. We publish no testimonial, client logo or performance figure without authorization and a verifiable source.
Groupe GSF ethics framework
Groupe GSF publishes an ethics framework and related policies on gsf.fr. That framework guides Group culture internationally; GSF Canada’s local obligations remain those of applicable Quebec and Canadian law.
